After years of being closed, the collection of the Museum in the Wittelsbach Castle in Friedberg was re-opened in all its splendour.
In addition to history of the castle and the city, the magnificent watches and clocks of Friedberg are presented. Additional highlights are the Friedberg faience, archeological finds (relevant far beyond our region) and sacred art.
In the department for modern Friedberg art, works from the graphic artist Fritz Schwimbeck, the painter Karl Müller-Liedeck and coins from Reinhart Heinsdorff (designer of the euro cent) are presented.
Hands-on exhibits and multimedia stations, as well as the new museum café, opening to the castle garden, make for a visit that appeals to all senses!
